Lady Falcons Volleyball has blazed a trail of success in their recently completed second season and have won great rewards through hard work and dedication.

Their victories were not only numerous, but are also a testament to the skill of the team. In volleyball, scoring is based on a series of ‘sets’, and to win each set the team has to successfully score 25 points by a two-point margin. The game is won based on a best 3 of 5, meaning whoever wins three sets takes the game. The Lady Falcons not only won 20 of their opening games, but won fully half of them in only 3 sets, sweeping the games.

The team recently faced their arch-rivals, the College of Central Florida, coming off a prior victory against them with a 3-2 set victory on Aug. 29, the game promised to be one full of close matches.

The Falcons came out strong, winning the first set 25-23. The next three sets were both brutally challenging and incredibly close, but ultimately resulted in a defeat by 6 points in the second set, and by 2 points in the third and 3 points in the fourth sets.

The team remained incredibly competitive throughout each set, and was in high spirits throughout the entire game.
