There have not been many changes yet as the country plans to reopen on May 1. Doing simple things like going to gyms and running!\u201d<em> \u202f<\/em>\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cI\u2019ve always enjoyed online school, so I\u2019ve been doing great. To me I thought it was a little bit easier and helpful. As far as how they\u2019ve been handling it, they have been doing great too! Both play on the Daytona State Women\u2019s Soccer team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cWe can\u2019t get wait back to playing soccer!\u201d said Gottschalk. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely hard going from training every day to not having it now. However, we are staying in shape by doing workouts put together by our coaches and by getting out to the field to kick around.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u201cAnd as far as quarantine goes, we\u2019ve adapted pretty well. It was definitely challenging at first, but we\u2019ve worked out a good schedule to get things done during the day by sticking to a routine throughout the week. We\u2019re staying at my home in Colorado, so it\u2019s been a big change of environment, but we are making the best of it! We do weekly zoom calls with our coaches and teammates from DSC so it\u2019s always something to look forward to and to check in with how everyone\u2019s doing.\u201d\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Student athletes are staying game ready for when they are told they can come together again as teams which they hope will be in the Fall 2020 semester.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>    The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the state of the sports world and cancelled all sports at Daytona State College.
