As it stands,
the Falcons’ overall record stands at 9-17, with a team batting average
of .316, 139 runs, and 12 home runs. The team was trying to bounce back
from last season where they finished barely above .500 at 23-22, a team
batting average of .302, 259 total runs, and 48 home runs.

In Motion was in contact with Coach Keli Harrell via email and asked how her season has been affected.

“Unfortunately, COVID-19 has resulted in the NJCAA suspending our
season, along with all other spring sports,” wrote Harrell.

The season is on hold until further notice and DSC has cancelled
sporting events on campus and moved classes to online-only indefinitely.
The team now has time to recuperate and Coach Harrell and returning
players can plan and rest for next season.

“We were definitely looking forward to some much-needed rest, due to
injuries. There has been a ripple effect across the
sports world in terms of cautionary measures taken.

Unfortunately, Coach Harrell is right in saying that her season is
indeed over, along with all other spring sports here at DSC.
