Jaime Casap, chief educational evangelist at Google and a leading authority on using technology to support inquiry-based learning, will be keynote speaker during Daytona State College\u2019s 11th<\/sup> annual <\/a>Academic Excellence Symposium <\/a>on Friday, March 1.<\/p>\n The public symposium will feature a day of conversations regarding innovative practices educators can use to support pathways to student success. The event, \u201cInstitutional Outcomes: Building Bridges to Student Success,\u201d will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hosseini Center, Building 1200, on the Daytona Beach Campus.<\/p>\n Casap works with school systems and educational organizations focused on building innovation into their education policies and practices. Before he joined Google 13 years ago, he spent seven years as a strategy and organization consultant at Accenture, where he worked with companies in financial services, government, utilities, healthcare, electronics and high tech. He also is a teacher, an author and serves as an advisor to dozens of organizations focused on learning and the future of work.<\/p>\n Although the event is free and open to the public, space is limited.
