March 8 in the SMP. Seiler has generated fine art and commercial photography for 20 years. She founded the organization JayantiPictures, in 2017, to promote, fund and produce artist works that increase understanding for the fair treatment of animals. She received her Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her photography has gained national and international recognition in publications including The New York Times, V\u00e9ganes, magazine in Canada, Vision Magazine in Beijing, Edge of Humanity Magazine, Muybridge\u2019s Horse Magazine and Bird In Flight Magazine in Russia.<\/p>\n<p><b>Through April 14<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cWomen in Light and Shadow\u201d \u2014 <\/b>The work of Jan Goff La-Fontaine, who documents women who have overcome physically abusive relationships. Author reception and book signing at 6 p.m. April 6.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smponline.org\/museum-events\/2018\/1\/30\/gary-monroe-photographs\"><b>Gary Monroe: Photographs<\/b><\/a> <b>\u2014 <\/b>Longtime DSC faculty member and Senior Professor will be<b> <\/b>featured in a retrospective exhibit honoring his 30 years at the college. Monroe&#8217;s photography includes his early work in the Old Jewish neighborhoods of Miami, his location shoots in Haiti, his interest in Florida tourism culture, and corporatization of Florida landscape. The award-winning author, art collector and photographer will retire in May. Reception and artist&#8217;s talk featuring Monroe is at 4 p.m. March 29.
