This is our attempt to unify the community.”

Among the main events were demonstrations by the Indie Game Alliance, which provided an area for convention goers to test out prototype card games and leave feedback for the creators. There was also a large selection of games for guests to take to their tables and play.

Other events included a Magic: The Gathering tournament, an anime screening room, a cosplay (EXPLAIN WHAT THIS IS) contest and steampunk themed live-action-role-play or LARP escape room, where a group of six had 20 minutes to search the room for clues and solve puzzles to escape before a masked villain stormed the area. Groups were awarded miscellaneous prizes for escaping the room or fulfilling special objectives.

Professional cosplayers Rick Stafford “The True Aquaman” and Rose Piercy “The True Mera” were special guests at the event.

“I grew up in the Daytona Beach area. This is one of my alma maters so I thought I’d come back and be part of Falcon Con,” said Stafford.
