Admission\u00a0to the recital was free and open to the\u00a0public. The high energy performances\u00a0included solo renditions of both lyrical\u00a0and instrumental classical composers,\u00a0Broadway favorites and musical\u00a0ensembles.<\/p>\n<p>The different ranges of talent and the\u00a0diversity of the performance selections\u00a0had the audience guessing what they\u00a0would be viewing next. Frank Anello, a\u00a0tenor, chose the song \u201cI Am Adolfo\u201d from\u00a0the musical \u201cThe Drowsy Chaperone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anello portrayed the confident yet\u00a0ridiculous womanizing Adolfo with ease\u00a0by suggestively removing his bowtie and\u00a0popping his shirt collar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just a really fun song to do. I thought\u00a0it would be a nice change from the more\u00a0serious songs. I decided to do it to get over\u00a0my stage fright,\u201d said Frank Anello.<\/p>\n<p>Soprano singer Kaitlin Quinn chose to\u00a0sing the song \u201cZueignung\u201d by the German\u00a0composer Richard Strauss. The song was\u00a0sung in its original version of German and\u00a0was brimming with emotion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a soprano which is the highest voice\u00a0type and I have been a student at DSC for\u00a0quite some time,\u201d said Kaitlin Quinn. \u201cI\u00a0have participated in every recital since\u00a02008 and I\u2019m graduating this semester,\u00a0so this is my last one. I will be graduating\u00a0with my AA and attending the education\u00a0program at DSC.
