Lance Rothwell \/ In Motion\" width=\"1024\" height=\"673\" class=\"size-large wp-image-2866\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.daytonastateinmotion.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/02A-1024x673.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.daytonastateinmotion.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/02A-150x99.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.daytonastateinmotion.com\/oldsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/02A-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2866\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pat Bergeson teaching students at the guitar workshop at News Journal Center.<br \/>Lance Rothwell \/ In Motion<\/figcaption><\/figure>Aimed at musicians of all skill levels, the event featured 28 participants who were divided into four groups that rotated between lessons taught by Smith, Trapp, Bergeson and Barry Greene, professor of jazz guitar at the University of North Florida.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to guitar lessons, attendees were invited to a jam session with the artists, as well as a faculty concert.<\/p>\n<p>Greene also participated in teaching the camp and was impressed by DSC\u2019s facilities, specifically the top-of-the-line recording studio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have some of the best equipment in the world. It\u2019s really world class, there\u2019s nothing like it in the state of Florida. It\u2019s an amazing facility,\u201d said Jake Niceley, Assistant Chair of the Mike Curb College.<\/p>\n<p>Early in his career, Niceley ran two recording studios in Nashville, one of which had more Grammy nominations than any other studio in the Music City throughout the 1990s.
