<\/a>Jared East\/In Motion<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
Following on the heels of last semester\u2019s comedy show, \u201cCall It Improv,\u201d this year students are digging into the lives of artists, revealing the inner workings of their excellence in loud, colorful and or lyrical expressions. From pencils to pickguards,\u00a0their series is titled \u201cCreARTtivity\u201d and will shed light on the minds and lives of artists hidden behind the blank canvases and distorted guitars.<\/p>\n
Musicians, sculptors, painters, poets and other forms of artists will be guests on \u201cCreARTivity\u201d aiding DSC\u2019s viewers in their understanding of each creator\u2019s preferred medium.<\/p>\n
The students are held responsible for the talent brought in and interviewed on the show, as well scouting and hunting down\u00a0creative minds. As of now, \u201cCreARTivity\u201d has eight artists that include a woodcarver, street painter and ice sculptor.<\/p>\n
Chelsey Austin, a Mainland High School graduate and artist out of Melbourne, uses chalk to make concrete come alive and is scheduled to come on the show in April.<\/p>\n
Briley Barrett, student producer, says she is excited to be working with all the different artists and new classmates this semester.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m excited to see how the show turns out,\u201d Barrett says.<\/p>\n
Since this is Barrett\u2019s last semester with the TV production class, Barrett is also thrilled to \u201cGet to produce my own episode.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other students are equally enthusiastic about the series as well.<\/p>\n
Jeremiah Detablan says the show is a \u201cFunky and creative idea.\u201d<\/p>\n
The first show airs Feb. on Channel 15 at 7:30. Re-runs can be seen at 9:30 a.m. Sundays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
