Gale Lemerand Center, on the Daytona Beach Campus.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the Tuesday match vs. Indian River State College, Olympic gold medalist Lloy Ball and his father, American Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Famer Arnie Ball, will share their experiences on the court with the audience. The 4:30 p.m. presentation will be in room 104 of the Lemerand Center and is open to the public. High school volleyball teams are particularly welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Under the leadership of Coach Laura Stegall, the college\u2019s inaugural volleyball team looks forward to a competitive season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a first-year NJCAA team, we have a lot of talent, but we are young, with all freshmen,\u201d she said. \u201cI expect that we will be tested against some of the more established teams. But it will be good for us, and I\u2019m confident in everyone\u2019s desire to win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daytona State Athletic Director Will Dunne said he\u2019s looking forward to seeing this young team compete. \u201cTheir work ethic is tremendous,\u201d he said. \u201cThey have a good bit of talent. They\u2019re going to work hard and good things are going to happen.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s very exciting.\u201dThe volleyball match is free to Daytona State College students and employees.Tickets for the general public are $5.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By\u00a0Thomas R.
