InTrend: From Huskies to ‘hot’ cuisine, SGA shares latest likes

Favorite restaurant is Tijuana Flats, especially the chicken tacos on “Tijuana Tuesdaze,” which features two tacos, chips and a drink for $5.49 plus tax.

     Michael Tirpak — SGA Vice President

HuskyFavorite animal is a Siberian Husky. Tirpak loves to frequent the Halifax Humane Society, hoping that one day he will be able to adopt a Siberian Husky and name it Huska.

Favorite volunteer project is when he worked at the historic Bulow Plantation, where he remodeled trails, created ramps for bridges, and cut down trees to clear paths.

Favorite song is Zayn Malik’s new single, “Pillow Talk.” She loves “Pillow Talk” because it is a slower song that reminds her of the R&B/Pop artist, The Weeknd.

Andre Willis — SGA Senator of Public Relations

Favorite upcoming movie is “Captain America: Civil War,” featuring Marvel Characters’ Captain America and Iron Man. Willis is a longtime fan of Captain America and has seen many of Marvel’s movies featuring Captain America multiple times.

Caleb Harwood — SGA Vice President at Daytona State’s Flagler/Pam Coast Campus

He loves to juice, as in extracting juice from fruits or vegetables. When making different juices, he loves to use kale, spinach, walnuts and red grapes. Harwood also loves the local juice bar, the Kale Café, located on Beach Street in Daytona Beach and Granada Avenue in Ormond Beach.

Rudy Pleterski — SGA Senator of Academic Affairs

His favorite restaurant is Zen Bistro on Magnolia Avenue in Daytona Beach. His favorite of their cuisine is the “Thai hot” pad thai. Pleterski loves that the restaurant offers quality Thai food for an affordable price.
