Google Expert Speaks March 1

 

Jaime Casap, chief educational evangelist at Google and a leading authority on using technology to support inquiry-based learning, will be keynote speaker during Daytona State College’s 11th annual Academic Excellence Symposium on Friday, March 1.

The public symposium will feature a day of conversations regarding innovative practices educators can use to support pathways to student success. The event, “Institutional Outcomes: Building Bridges to Student Success,” will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hosseini Center, Building 1200, on the Daytona Beach Campus.

Casap works with school systems and educational organizations focused on building innovation into their education policies and practices. Before he joined Google 13 years ago, he spent seven years as a strategy and organization consultant at Accenture, where he worked with companies in financial services, government, utilities, healthcare, electronics and high tech. He also is a teacher, an author and serves as an advisor to dozens of organizations focused on learning and the future of work.
