Jim Stovall was the featured speaker during the L. Gale Lemerand Entrepreneurial Speaker Series hosted by the Small Business Development Center at Daytona State College. Stovall overcame blindness and succeeded in becoming a television executive, best-selling author and a champion athlete. The April 7 event was highlighted by awarding three students with
scholarships. Scholarships awarded during the event included one for
a student enrolled in a Flagler/Volusia high school who plans to attend
DSC, one for a student enrolled in a DSC two-year business program
and one for a student enrolled in a DSC four-year business program.
