April 20, the joint DSC and University of Central Florida photography programs will host an exhibition featuring student work ranging from comedic and surrealistic subjects to conceptual and documentary styles. Titled “f/8” the object is to showcase the work students have accomplished in the four years leading up to spring graduation.
Reception Committee Chair Karly Scheuerman and others working on the event have a Facebook fan page, as well as an Indiegogo fundraiser to help underwrite the enterprise. At press time, the group had raised about half of its $2,000 goal. Contributions are greatly appreciated . Go to http://igg.me/at/f8 Those who cannot afford a contribution are asked to spread the word by “liking” the Facebook page at http://facebook.com/f8/
The exhibition ─ to be held at Gallery 500, 500 W. Livington St. Orlando, in the UCF Center for Emerging Media ─ will offer food and music and is free and open to the public. On hand will be the eight seniors represented in the show, all from the UCF Bachelor of Science in Photography program: Scheuerman; Brittany Fournier, the In Motion Photo Editor; Benjamin Hayward,
