Prior to the annual Commencement exercises, Daytona State College’s Alumni & Friends Association will host the 2nd annual Falcons Take Flight event for the graduating class. The two-hour celebration will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at The Landing and ECHO Plaza on the Daytona Beach Campus.
“We are thrilled to partner again with the DSC Bookstore where graduates can pick-up their cap and gown at a 10 percent discount,” said Suzette Cameron, director of Alumni Relations and Development. “In addition, the bookstore is sponsoring a free decorating activity that proved to be highly popular last year.”
Other activities include networking while enjoying food and beverages, making memories with friends in the Commencement photo booth and posing for graduation cap and gown photos. The event will end with a group photo which attracted more than 100 graduates in 2018.
