Up to three promising students interested in entrepreneurship will each earn a $1,000 L. Gale Lemerand Entrepreneurial Speaker Series Scholarship, which will be presented during the Lemerand Entrepreneurial Speaker Series.
“This is an incredible opportunity for students who are attending or plan to attend Daytona State,” said Jim Deering, director of the Small Business Development Center. “Mr. Lemerand established the scholarship program in 2007, supporting upwards of 50 budding entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams of business ownership.”
DSC students, DSC Adult Education students and Volusia or Flagler County high school students who plan to attend DSC are encouraged to apply. To submit scholarship applications, visit DaytonaState.edu/scholarships. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1.
Hosted by the Small Business Development Center and Daytona State College’s, the speaker series will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 in the Mori Hosseini Center on the college’s Daytona Beach Campus.
Featured speaker is Charles Clark, a world-class athlete, international keynote speaker, writer, success coach, business consultant and entrepreneur, and CEO of the business consulting firm Charles Clark International.
