‘How do you feel about guns being allowed on campus?’

Corey Moncure, Nursing
– “If guns are for outlaws then only outlaws will carry guns. As long as what we do agrees with the Florida statue and if it’s lawful I dont’t really see any problems.”
Jessica King, General Education
-“ We have a pretty good Campus Safety and I don’t think there is a major threat. I agree with letting people have concealed weapons in their cars but I don’t think it’s necessary to walk around campus and in class with them.”
Marcellus Morrow, Nursing
-“I do not feel it is necessary to have guns here. I don’t see any kind of trouble present and there wasn’t any murders or assaults that I know of. College got security and I’m sure tasers are enough.”

-“If people are going to bring guns on campus and hide them, you want there to be people with licenses, who are usually trusted because they go through a long process
to protect you. ”

-“I don’t think I would feel safe if everybody would have guns around me. If someone started a fight, people can just draw their guns and start shooting.”

-“I think it is a good idea, safety wise. You can defend yourself if you have one.”

– “I think it’s a good idea. It can’t be a bad thing as long as it’s safe. As long as you have your weapons permit and your background check is good, I don’t think it is dangerous.”

– “I don’t think that’s a really smart idea. If students get upset about their professors and such, they might go off shooting on campus and people will get hurt.”
